SOUL MIDWIFE
As a soul midwife, I provide therapeutic and spiritual end of life care to accompany people who are in the transition process.
I also provide a training program called TLC (Tender Loving Care) For the Dying. TLC programme is a simplified, hands-on version of Soul Midwifery, which sits perfectly within mainstream care settings. It can be delivered in care home, hospital, hospice, or organisations for caregivers. It has also been taught to individuals who are caring for loved ones.
In 2019 TLC was implemented by Dorset NHS in the UK, where it is being offered to all End of Life patients within the county’s community hospitals.
I received training from Felicity Warner who created the idea of Soul Midwifery for the dying after sitting with many hundreds of people at the end of life. Her pioneering work over the last twenty-five years has brought a new dimension to holistic and spiritual palliative care, both in the UK and globally.
The TLC programme is a simplified, hands-on version of Soul Midwifery, which sits perfectly within mainstream care settings. Carers would be able to learn skills and techniques that would make every feel loved and special.
